Sandpaper, an abrasive material, can be mainly divided into two categories based on its application: wet sandpaper and dry sandpaper.

Dry sandpaper has a unique manufacturing process, using synthetic resin as a binder to tightly bond the abrasive particles to the latex, and then covering it with an anti-static coating. This gives it anti-clogging and anti-static properties, while maintaining its softness and abrasion resistance, making it ideal for dry sanding.

Wet sandpaper, also known as water-resistant sandpaper, uses water-resistant paper or specially treated paper as a base, employing paint or resin as a binder to firmly adhere the abrasive particles to the base. This type of sandpaper can work stably in water or oil and is used for polishing the surfaces of metal or non-metal workpieces.
