High-Conformability for Pre-Polish Work
Achieving a mirror finish on complex curves requires an abrasive that tracks every contour without bridging. Softback sanding sponge uses an ultra-flexible backing (P120–P2000) that conforms tightly to arcs, radii, and shaped parts. It is designed for fine sanding and pre-polish preparation. The soft backing ensures the abrasive makes full contact with the workpiece, maintaining a uniform scratch pattern that is easier to buff out later.

Wet Sanding Precision
The sponge can be used wet to lubricate the surface and flush away fine particles. This is especially important for P1000–P2000 grades, where loading the abrasive with dust can cause deep scratches. Light pressure is required to avoid sanding through thin films.
