Synergy with Flat Backing Trays

Adhesive-backed abrasives perform best when paired with perfectly flat sanding pads. 5 inch PSA sanding discs measure 125mm and employ a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that bonds directly to flat trays without the need for a hook face. This flat interface keeps the abrasive pressed evenly against the panel, preventing edge lift during eccentric sanding motions. The discs are available in P40 to P2000, using aluminum oxide or silicon carbide.

Adhesion and Single-Use Limits

The adhesive holds firmly against the orbital action of a DA sander. When peeled off, minimal residue remains, though any old adhesive should be cleaned before applying a new disc. PSA discs are designed for single application. Peeling and repositioning a disc weakens the adhesive tack, making it prone to flying off at high speeds.

Operational Environments

PSA discs are ideal for automotive paint sanding (primer to clear coat), furniture flat panel work, metal rust removal, plastic refinement, and hand pad work in corners. Where a shop uses hook-face plates and needs to reuse discs, a hook and loop format is the correct alternative.

Specifying the Order

The backing dimensions are supplied to match the specific customer tray. Sample checks are conducted on the buyer's tray to verify seating and adhesion. Small orders ship in three days; larger orders take a week. The factory operates on a 50% deposit, with the balance paid after inspection and before dispatch.
