Coating Removal Mechanics
Stripping thick paint, primer, and varnish requires an abrasive that holds a continuous cut. Paint removal sanding discs use silicon carbide or aluminum oxide grain with an open coat and anti-clogging layer. This structure handles heavy stock removal in automotive body shops, clears old stain from furniture timber, and strips rusted coatings from steel frames before recoating.
Grit and Diameter Options
Removal starts coarse. P40 and P80 tackle heavy paint layers and rust. For primer sanding and surface leveling, P120 to P320 provides a smoother scratch pattern. Diameters of 100mm, 115mm, 125mm, and 150mm fit standard random orbital sanders, angle grinders, and hand pads.
Mounting and Dust Configurations
Hook and loop (velour) backing allows quick tool changes, while PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) backing mounts directly onto flat plates. For shops running dust-extraction systems, multi-hole discs align with sander ports to pull debris away. No-hole discs are supplied for standard setups.
Factory Supply and Shipping
